Our aim
We want Tentothe to be playable by as many people as possible and aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA wherever the nature of the game allows.
What we support
Keyboard: the whole game works without a mouse. Tab to the slider, use the arrow keys (Shift or Page Up/Down for a power of ten, Home/End for the ends), Enter to lock in, Space to skip the reveal.
Screen readers: the slider announces your guess in words, for example “4.2 centimetres, about a walnut”. Results, grades and errors are announced as text.
Motion: if your system asks for reduced motion, animations are replaced by short fades.
Colour: amber always means your guess and cyan the truth; they are also different shapes (a round thumb and a diamond), and every grade is spelled out in text.
Zoom and touch: pages stay usable at 200% zoom, and touch targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels. Sound is optional and off by default.
Known limitation
Tentothe is a visual puzzle: you judge the size of what a photograph shows. It cannot be made fully accessible to blind players. Text descriptions of the images would give away the answer, so the images only carry a neutral label. We are sorry about this and are open to ideas for an audio or text variant that keeps the puzzle fair.
